Hefei
Cherry blossom dances on a twig,
Beside a roaring factory’s flag.
Sunlight leaned on the old machine’s nog,
And the paper-like pink petal’s beautiful jig.
Blooms in wind and workers in fug,
All dying to avoid the destiny’s drag.

Pittsburgh
Ashy fogs drifts away in the wind,
Give way to the diamond sky,
Factories sleep beside running river,
Fields and rose gardens take the stage.

Hefei
Silent buildings,
stand like iron forest,
shines like golden apple.

Pittsburgh
Iron and coal’s mining start to decreased,
Steeler’s glory step into history.
But the heart of an unyielding iron fighter,
Never stop beating by time
Hefei
Bustling retailers,
Scattered in the corner of night city,
Like million stars in the sky

Pittsburgh
A traveling bird finds,
Spring mountains dressed in white blossoms ,
It warbles to celebrate
Iron City
Your mountains sat on this northern land,
A natural carved tablet, witnessed smoke and silence.
Your river tied your body and mind,
Soft like silk, but bore the weight of thousands of iron boats.
Your blossoms greeted homing geese in twilight,
Summer breeze wept on grassland, and rushed when Aurora debuted.
Yellowish wind painted the mountain gold,
Till the flicker of Christmas fire and the first snow kissed the ground.
Your archaic spires and modern towers, dim and illustrious,
All glistened as Nyx advent the grassy streamside and neat street.
As million relucent stars aligned beside Allegheny’s rivers,
Or priceless diamond lied in riches’ closet.
Your daughter is now across the sea, away from the bright mornings and starry nights,
But she’ll be back home one day, when the sunshine melts spring ice.
